A Pilgrimage for Power: Bear Trouble walkthrough

Follow the pilgrim trail near Briar Sloughs Tower to the bear’s plateau, inspect the dead Uriash’s mark and knife, then study the central stone. The reward includes a Ravenous Flock Manual; collecting it and preparing a usable spell are separate steps.

Find the pilgrimage trail

After Smoke and Ashes, explore the river and trail around Briar Sloughs Tower. Look for wind chimes and the small marked stone piles with yellow cloth. Follow those trail markers toward the abandoned campsite.

Use Focus Mode at the camp and follow the footprints onward to the plateau. The bear waits in the area with the sacred stone. This pilgrimage is separate from the Into the Den quest.

Make room for the bear’s heavy attacks

Watch for the bear’s charge and the heavy attack where it rears up before slamming forward. Move aside from the committed attack, then answer during its recovery instead of trading hits into it.

Dodge those unblockable charge and slam attacks. Keep enough stamina to escape the next attack and use the combat guide for the shared block and dodge rules. These are the documented attacks to watch for here, not a complete catalogue of every bear animation.

Inspect the body before the central glyph

  1. After the fight, look on the western side of the plateau for the dead Uriash.
  2. Inspect the mark on the forearm and the bloodied knife nearby.
  3. Return to the central sacred stone and inspect its glyph.
  4. Read the time prompt before confirming the study interaction. PowerPyx records two time segments here.

The recorded reward is 250 XP and a Ravenous Flock Manual. Check the reward and journal update before leaving the plateau.

Turn the manual into usable progression

Open the manual in your inventory and read it. A manual unlocks progression; it does not replace the skill-point purchase shown in the skill tree. Check Ravenous Flock at a shrine before treating the reward as a ready-to-cast ability.

Ravenous Flock belongs to daytime Witchcraft. If you are planning to use it immediately, check your current form, purchased rank, available charges and health cost. This quest reward alone does not establish that you can sustain repeated casts.

Questions before you continue

Why do I have the manual but cannot use Ravenous Flock?

Read the manual, then check the skill’s purchased rank at a shrine and your daytime Witchcraft requirements. Receiving a manual is not the same as purchasing and preparing its skill.
