Fast travel quick check
- Open the menu at an intact or repaired shrine.
- Choose Fast Travel, then an already activated destination.
- If that point is damaged, complete its matching Heart repair; Small Bridge is illustrated below.
- Read the action prompt: travel, waiting and repair are different actions with different costs.
How to Unlock a Shrine
Walk to an intact or repaired shrine and interact with it. A marker on an external map is not an unlocked destination in your save. In the recorded interface, blue identifies an active shrine; grey indicates an unavailable or damaged one.
- Approach a usable shrine and open its menu.
- Choose Fast Travel to open the destination map.
- Select another shrine you have already activated, then use the displayed travel prompt.
- If the destination is grey or missing, discover and activate it on foot first, or complete its repair.
This shrine-to-shrine sequence is documented by GamesRecon and Thumb Wars. Opening the world map in the wilderness is not the departure method those guides describe. Bindings can differ; follow the prompt rather than assuming one platform’s button applies everywhere.
Fixing Destroyed Shrines
Inspect the damaged shrine, investigate nearby clues, recover its matching Shrine’s Heart, then return to that shrine to restore it. Finding the object and completing the repair are separate steps. Game8’s September 4 guide reports 17 destroyed shrines; this is its repair-activity count, not a verified total of every travel point.
Small Bridge: repair it in four steps
Find the activity → stop the soldiers → take the named Heart → return and restore. Be ready for the soldiers around the shrine. The recording does not establish a minimum level, required day or prerequisite quest; follow your own displayed interaction binding.
1. Match the map position and journal activity
Look in southern Briar Sloughs, on the dirt path below the soldier outpost holding Mert. Use the map for orientation, then confirm Destroyed Shrines: Small Bridge in the journal. It lists Investigate the shrine and Stop the soldiers.

2. Stop the soldiers and take the Heart
Defeat the three soldiers around the shrine. Search their bodies for Small Bridge Shrine’s Heart, then take it. Check all three bodies if needed; do not assume the last soldier killed always carries it. Its item description identifies it as the object used to restore Small Bridge Shrine.

3. Return and check the repair cost
Return to the empty shrine beside the wooden cart and sacks. With the matching Heart, use Restore the Shrine. This recording shows 1 beside an hourglass icon at that prompt. Read your own displayed cost before confirming; this one example does not establish every shrine’s repair cost.

4. Confirm the repair completed
Look for Quest Ended — Destroyed Shrines: Small Bridge and Use the Shrine. The recording also shows Small Bridge Shrine’s Heart (−1), confirming that the item was consumed; the clock changes from Morning to Noon. These are the visible completion checks in this example.

To travel next, open the usable shrine’s menu, choose Fast Travel and select an activated destination. The general menu sequence comes from GamesRecon and ThumbWars; this Small Bridge recording does not demonstrate a journey.
If Small Bridge still needs repair
- The Heart is missing: revisit the soldiers’ loot windows and take the named item; check all three bodies.
- The Heart is only highlighted: complete the loot action. Highlighting an item in a body’s loot window does not establish ownership.
- The activity is unfinished: check the remaining journal objective and return to the shrine’s restore prompt.
- The shrine works but a destination is unavailable: verify that the destination is activated; see the travel checks below.
The first three checks follow the shown objectives and item flow; the video does not demonstrate failed-pickup or bug states. Time Costs and Travel Conditions
Travel and repair have different costs. Community launch guides describe fast travel as not spending the story clock, while restoring a destroyed shrine advances time. Read the repair’s displayed time cost before confirming; no single cost is established here for every repair.
A shrine also offers waiting and skill-related actions. Select Travel if travel is your goal. Choosing to wait for night is a separate calendar decision, and purchasing an upgrade can also spend time. Sources: Thumb Wars on travel, GamesRecon on repair and the official skill-cost explanation.
If Fast Travel is unavailable
- Check the departure point: open the menu at a usable shrine.
- Check the destination: a visible grey marker still needs activation or repair.
- Check carried weight: LootMap’s launch guide reports that Overencumbered blocks travel; it recommends reducing weight by selling, destroying or using shrine Storage. Treat this as a community-reported restriction and check the message in your save.
- Check the current game prompt: this page does not establish every combat or quest lockout. Record the exact message if the preceding checks do not explain it.
Weight-source reference: LootMap’s shrine and Overencumbrance guide. Its marker totals differ from other lists, so they are not used as a complete shrine count here. For broader calendar planning, see the beginner’s guide.

FAQ
How many destroyed shrines are reported?
The recorded Game8 guide reports 17 destroyed shrines across Vale Sangora. That is a destroyed-shrine count, not the total number of travel destinations.
How do I fix a destroyed shrine?
Inspect it, follow its local investigation to recover the matching Shrine’s Heart, return and confirm the repair. Repairs spend time, unlike ordinary shrine travel. The Small Bridge example above walks through the soldiers, named Heart and repair confirmation: Quest Ended, a Use prompt and removal of the Heart. Other shrines can have different investigations.
Do I need to unlock a shrine before fast-traveling to it?
Yes — you have to physically interact with it once first.
