Choose the entrance that matches your preparation

This comparison follows PowerPyx’s early-castle entry section. It does not mean a low-level character is prepared for the encounters inside.
Use the nighttime wall route
- After the prologue, reach Svartrau City. Follow the road east through the city toward the fortress on the hill until you reach the barred Greifberg Castle gate.
- Stop at the point-of-no-return warning near that gate and preserve your manual save. Continue only when you intend to begin the finale.
- Return or wait at a shrine until night so Coen is a vampire. At the gate exterior, use Shadowstep onto the large rocks outside the gate.
- From the rocks, teleport to the castle wall and use Planeshift to scale it. The top of the wall triggers the entry cutscene.
This is GameSpot’s documented gate-and-rocks approach, also describing the warning before the climb. If you cannot reach the wall, recheck your form and available movement abilities; this guide does not establish a minimum skill rank or guarantee access from every rock around the fortress.
Arrange the side door with Father Florin
Find Florin through In the Name of the Father. PowerPyx points to the balcony of a Curious House directly north of Svartrau’s West Gate, leading to the underground area where he stays.
Agree to work with him to receive his castle-entry plan. If you rejected the offer earlier, the guide says you can return while he remains alive. Killing him removes that conversation route.
The side entrance is reached by a short path northwest of Vedera Shallows Shrine. Follow the quest instructions at the door. PC Gamer associates Florin’s route with A Hero’s End.
Use the Side Gate Key route if you have it
PowerPyx reports the Side Gate Key to Greifberg Castle on Georghe, the Rabid Duke, at Racovitza’s Bandit Camp on the eastern edge of the map. Defeat him, loot the body and verify the full key name before travelling back to the side entrance.
Use the key at that entrance to begin the final sequence. This page does not provide the bandit camp’s combat tactics or substitute a different ancient, treasury or stone key.
Check which final route you intended
Entering alone is a different route from starting an ally’s finale through Lacra or Crake. If your goal is a specific alliance ending, use the ending route and invitation checklist, keep the entry save and return to that character’s quest instead of assuming that a solo castle entry can be converted later.
The scope here ends at the castle-entry commitment. Use the boss directory for encounter context, and the character directory for the alliance names.
