Where to find The Kingslayer on the riverbank

The riverbank west of Svartrau contains a buried treasure spot where KhrazeGaming obtains The Kingslayer. Look beside the tree roots and stones, then check the loot for the named legendary greatsword. The route below follows that recorded find.

Follow the riverbank west of Svartrau

Bring a shovel. If you do not have one, All Things How documents one beside the disturbed earth in the Ravenous Bear cave: from Outlaw’s Gorge Shrine in Laslea Glen, travel east, turn south toward the cave, defeat the bear and look beside the dig patch inside. Pick up the shovel before returning to Svartrau.

  1. After the prologue, open the map and locate Svartrau City. Match the player marker in the map below: the river bend immediately west of the city, below the Svartrau Outskirts label and east of Rockfalls. This is the riverbank search area, not a city chest.
  2. At that position, find the large tree beside the broad, flat-faced boulder. The treasure is in the narrow space between the tree, the large boulder and a smaller rock; match the close view below.
  3. Use the shovel at the buried treasure interaction. After the chest is exposed, loot it and check for The Kingslayer. The screenshot shows the already-exposed chest with the Loot prompt, so do not expect that exact appearance before digging.

KhrazeGaming reports collecting it without first finding the Riverbank treasure map. If the interaction is missing, match both landmarks and check that the shovel is in your inventory; the recording does not establish a different guaranteed sword spawn.

Check the name and defensive bonuses

The demonstrated item is a Legendary Greatsword with a Slow attack-speed label. Its bonuses include a wider perfect-block window, lower block and attack stamina costs, and stamina gained from a perfect block.

The 1:05 item panel shows a level-26 example. Use the panel in your own inventory for the current level, damage and percentages. This acquisition route does not establish a fixed level or damage roll for every player.

Keep the riverbank route separate from other reported sources

The riverbank find is the route documented here. Other guides describe a soldier drop during Forge It Anew or a Silver Trader listing, but the video evidence for this page does not establish those as guaranteed alternatives or confirm a vendor refresh cycle.

If you are already working through the sword-shard quest, use the Forge It Anew walkthrough for its objectives. Finding The Kingslayer is a separate reward check; it is not the completion condition for reforging St. Mihai’s sword.

Decide whether its bonuses suit your fighting style

The listed bonuses make perfect blocks and stamina management the useful comparison points. Try the weapon’s slower attack rhythm against the sword you already use, and compare its actual item panel before spending money on it.

“Best defensive weapon” is KhrazeGaming’s recommendation, not a measured comparison of every sword. The combat guide explains the block and stamina decisions that determine whether those bonuses help you.
