Start with the weight warning
If Coen becomes Overencumbered, Game8 documents that running and fast travel are unavailable. Open the inventory and reduce carried weight before trying to travel again.
ESO’s demonstration shows a /200 capacity, but that is the recorded character’s limit. Read your own current weight and capacity rather than assuming every build has a 200 limit. Sorting the inventory can help you identify equipment or trade items to review.
Keep useful items through shrine storage
- Reach an accessible shrine and use it.
- Choose Storage.
- Move items you want to keep out of your carried inventory, then check your carried weight again.
Game8 documents storage access through shrines, including the early Laslea Centre shrine. This is the useful choice for equipment you may want later. ESO specifically recommends keeping useful unique or legendary pieces for potential upgrades; that is a collecting preference, not a requirement to keep every item.
Use Sell All Junk, then review other trade goods
At a merchant, use Sell All Junk for items classified as Junk. Game8 distinguishes these from Superior Valuable items under the same Trade Goods tab, which require individual review and sale.
If trade goods remain afterward, check their classification and whether that merchant buys them. Do not infer that the sell action failed merely because the tab is not empty. Check the merchant’s available Denarii before expecting a large sale to go through.
Use destruction when you accept losing the item
Destroy Item reduces weight immediately without needing a nearby buyer. It also gives up the item and its possible sale value. Before confirming, read the item name and classification; move uncertain items and equipment to storage only if the storage menu accepts them. Leave protected or non-storable quest items alone; the whole Trade Goods tab is not disposable.
After clearing weight, try running or travel again. If travel is still unavailable, inspect the other restrictions in the fast-travel guide.
Keep silver until you can reach its buyer
ESO reports that ordinary merchants often refuse silver and points to a fence in Svartrau. Game8 describes an unlock lead through Into the Den: investigate the Ravenous Bear’s victim north of Laslea Glen, follow the Tattered Letter to the house west of the encounter, and read the silver-trader tip among the items beneath the marked flat stone.
The guide says the tip adds the trader to the map; at the trader, use the dialogue about knowing he trades in silver. Follow that map lead in your save. The precise house entrance and the seller’s personal name are not established by the text reviewed here, so this is an unlock lead rather than a complete city navigation route.
