Reach the balcony entrance
At the Svartrau quest marker, look along the narrow alley beside the small shop. Look upward for the wooden balcony, use Shadowstep to reach it and enter through the upper door. Search the interior and follow the noise downstairs.
The entry video at 0:23 shows the alley, balcony and first room. The marker points to the building; staying at street level leaves you at the wrong entrance.
Keep four night segments available
PowerPyx reports that Vicho needs four remaining night segments to start the outing. If he postpones it, return earlier the next night.
- Follow him to the jeweller. Inspect Devora upstairs and Eli in the basement; Eli’s key opens the box beneath the stairs.
- At the doctor’s shed, investigate the table and books for the house key. Inside the house, collect the upstairs Property Deed.
- At the warehouse, use the rear balcony entrance rather than the locked ground-floor doors. Descend and defeat Doctor Simeon.
Use Focus Mode whenever the objective still asks for clues.
The later confrontation is a separate step
The first investigation can appear complete before Vicho’s story is over. Visit a Svartrau medic during the next daytime period for The Good Samaritan, then return to Vicho at night. That follow-up supplies the information for the confrontation.
A documented sequence to spare Vicho in this confrontation
Game8 records the following route. The last four responses also appear in All Things How’s walkthrough. Keep the order; the numbered cues identify the topic where a full line is paraphrased.
- Open the conversation about needing to talk.
- Ask whether he remembers.
- Tell him you believe he committed the murders.
- Acknowledge that what happened to him was terrible.
- Intervene when he wants to die: “Don’t do it, Vicho.”
- Choose “Your condition—it’s a gift.”
- Follow with “Help others.”
- Reassure him: “But you have me now.”
- Offer “I’ll provide you with blood.”
- Specify “From blood transports.”
- Close with “I don’t think you’re a monster.”
These are reported successful choices, not a test of every alternative. All Things How records a shorter encouragement branch at step6, so the articles do not establish that every different encouragement fails. Confirm that Vicho is still present at the end of the conversation.
Later blood requests: Game8 reports a deadline before the following morning; All Things How identifies the follow-up journal task as Unquenchable Thirst. Neither inspected account supplies one complete request trigger → exact item and amount → hand-in interaction → success notification cycle. Missed-request recovery is also unverified. Read the actual request in your journal before obtaining blood: this page does not promise ongoing survival or a completed delivery walkthrough.
What the outcome changes
The published outcomes record an amulet in either branch. Keeping Vicho alive preserves his presence and adds blood deliveries; letting the confrontation end in his death removes him. Make that choice for the outcome you want, rather than assuming that only one branch awards the item.
Questions before you continue
Why will Vicho not start the investigation?
Check the remaining night segments. PowerPyx reports that he requires four; return earlier the next night if necessary.
Is convincing Vicho enough to keep him alive permanently?
No. The articles describe later blood requests. This guide covers the confrontation; exact requested amounts, delivery interactions and recovery after missing a request remain unverified.
